Who Are We?

Our names are, Tom & Iris Ross, and with the help of some friends who share our vision, we founded Celts On Fire Ministries in May 2003

We are a husband and wife team, who have now celebrated more than 40 years of marriage. We have four grown children, all of whom are married, and we have also been blessed with nine wonderful grandchildren.

For most of our lives we have lived in or around the historic little seaside town of Bangor in the North of Ireland. Although now retired, and were both in secular employment, we have been in Christian ministry of one form or another since our late teens. In 1999 God called us to rediscover, and begin to follow, the walk of faith of our Celtic forefathers. Celts On Fire Ministries is planted out of our burning desire to take the fire that so consumed the early Celtic Saints, to every nation that God places on our hearts. We are desperate to see that all the nations with a Celtic Diaspora rise up to fulfil their prophetic, missionary destiny in these end times.

As we already mentioned, our hometown of Bangor is a historic Christian town, with roots reaching back to Saint Patrick, who called the valley where the town now stands, Vallis Angelorum The Valley of Angels.Bangor is however more famous as the site of St. Comgall’s monastery, where after it’s foundation in the mid 500s AD, Laus Perennis or Perpetual Praise, better known today as 24/7 worship, was carried on for, some believe, up to 300 years.
